Brief History:

The Alpha Community Foundation of Oklahoma is a dedicated nonprofit organization focused on enhancing the lives of residents in northeast Oklahoma City. Recently, we took a significant step in our mission by acquiring a vacant elementary school in NE Oklahoma City. We are transforming this property into the Garden Oaks Community Center, located at 3401 NE 16th Street, which will become the heart of our activities and programs. These programs are centered around our core pillars: Educational Outreach, Health and Wellness, Civic Engagement, and Community Service.

With phase one of the construction complete, a portion of the community center is now serving the community. The Garden Oaks Community Center provides a multitude of essential services and programs, including after-school tutoring, a library and media center, a STEM lab, health and wellness programs, martial arts classes, remote learning and certification courses, and the development of a walking trail and community garden. Additionally, we facilitate mentorship programs, career exploration opportunities, and partnerships with other community organizations to amplify our impact.
